The album she released first, "The Fame", was released in 2008 with little media attention. Gaga went on tour across Europe and in the US to promote the album. But it was not until Gaga had her first hit, "Just Dance", that mainstream attention began to become a part of the music industry. Gaga was suffering from a labral tear in her right leg, which she was nursing for several weeks so that she could go on the tour. She was unable walk after a concert in Toronto and was in severe pain. The tour was stopped.
